Product Specifications
Type: Stranded Stainless Steel Tube OPGW (Optical Ground Wire)
Standards: IEEE 1138, IEC 60794-4, IEC 60793
Construction: Built with 1 to 3 stainless steel tubes containing optical fibers, stranded together with outer protective armor layers. The design features double or triple armoring layers composed of aluminum-clad steel (ACS/AS) wires, aluminum alloy (AA) wires, or pure aluminum (Al) wires. This stranded configuration accommodates high optical fiber capacities while providing precise control over secondary excess fiber length.
Applications: Designed for heavy-duty overhead power lines requiring high mechanical strength, large fiber core counts, and superior short-circuit current carrying capacity. Its robust construction makes it ideal for long-span transmission corridors and main grid backbones that demand an optimal balance between electrical grounding and high-bandwidth communications.
