Construction: Built for 600/1000V overhead distribution, Low-Voltage Aerial Bundled Cables (LV-ABC) use insulated aluminum phase conductors (AAC 1350) wrapped around a neutral messenger (AAC, AAAC, or ACSR) and covered in durable polymer insulation (XLPE, PE, HDPE, LDPE, or PVC). This self-supporting, insulated design delivers improved safety and lower energy losses compared to bare wire lines.
Applications: These cables are primarily used for secondary pole-to-pole networks, street lighting, temporary jobsite power, utility service drops into buildings, and rural electrification projects where underground cabling isn’t practical.
