Construction: Features a central gel-filled loose buffer tube containing optical fibers, cushioned by protective layers of glass yarn and high-tensile aramid yarns. This core assembly is enclosed within a seamless aluminum-covered tube and armored with single or double outer stranded layers of aluminum-clad steel (ACS) wires or a hybrid combination of ACS and aluminum alloy wires.
Applications: Specifically designed for overhead transmission infrastructure that demands excellent resistance to corrosion, aeolian vibration fatigue, and lightning strikes. The outer aluminum cladding and internal synthetic yarn reinforcement protect the optical fibers against signal degradation during high short-circuit power surges while maintaining structural integrity over long spans.
