Construction: Features a central core of optical fibers housed within plastic loose tubes, supported by a Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) central strength member, surrounded by a thermal barrier and an overall seamless aluminum-covered tube. This assembly is enclosed by single or double armoring layers made of aluminum-clad steel (ACS) wires, or a hybrid combination of ACS and aluminum alloy wires.
Applications: Ideal for power transmission overhead networks requiring exceptional resistance to environmental corrosion and aeolian vibration fatigue. The seamless aluminum housing provides superior electrical conductivity, shielding the enclosed optical fibers from heat during high short-circuit events and offering robust protection against lightning strikes.
