High-Voltage Circuit Breakers

Mustakbeli-branded 170 kV, 4000 A, 50 kA line and transformer circuit breakers—whose production and type-testing processes were successfully completed in 2020—have begun to be deployed in high-voltage energy systems.

Manufactured domestically by Mustakbelifor the first time in Turkey, these circuit breakers were integrated into the transmission system starting in 2020. Consequently, the country has significantly reduced its foreign dependency in this sector and brought the power of domestic technology into practical application.

These circuit breakers are strategically important equipment; they replace products that were previously entirely imported and are widely used in transmission systems and power generation plants. Following the successful completion of prototype tests and specification compliance reviews by TEİAŞ’s esteemed executives and technical team, these products were commissioned and put into service across all TEİAŞ regions.

All the circuit breakers successfully passed short-circuit, high-voltage, and type tests at accredited laboratories abroad (CESI / Italy). This process has demonstrated the reliability and performance of our products in accordance with international standards.

At Mustakbeli , our goal for future projects is to meet the demand for electrical system equipment—particularly items with high import dependency—through domestic production, thereby making our country more technologically independent.
